Terry Powell’s life has been dedicated to the development and advancement of the entrepreneur and those who desire to become one.  As the name depicts, The Entrepreneur's Source (TES) was founded in 1984 providing support and guidance to aspiring business owners.  Terry determined early on that an overwhelming 75% of the population had a strong desire to be self-sufficient, but barely 5% acted one it.  Terry focused on the remaining 70% and, through a journey of discovery, helped his clients identify their desired lifestyle, goals and needs.  Terry’s company then introduced them to business concepts that would help them to reach these defined goals, needs and expectations.

 Terry franchised The Entrepreneur’s Source concept in 1998.  Today, TES is a global coaching and advisory firm with over 275 franchisees assisting people find self-sufficiency through business ownership.  In recent years, TES coaches have placed 1000’s of people in businesses and franchises representing over $400 million in client investment dollars.

Terry’s unique vision of providing a ‘one stop one source resource’ for all things entrepreneurial came to fruition with the acquisition of Business Advisers International in 2005.  It was a natural fit, for now his companies could not only help individuals achieve their dream of business ownership, but also provide coaching and advisory services to new and established business owners, helping them to increase their bottom line and maximize their return on investment.

Throughout his career as a senior executive, franchisee and franchisor, Terry developed sophisticated business systems that are the internal foundation for both The Entrepreneur's Source and Business Advisers International. 

 He is a forerunner in the coaching and consulting world with his focus on training and continuing education.  TES and BAI coaches are taught in a state-of-the-art training facility and use virtual classroom training technology on a regular basis.  Terry also created FranchiseSearch.com, now the Google of the franchise world that is fast becoming the Internet’s leading resource for franchise and business opportunities.

As a seasoned veteran in the franchising community, as of 2006, Terry has positioned TES and BAI to hold approximately 33% of the market share in the business consulting industry.  Terry's belief in helping people reach their dream of independence and self-sufficiency permeates through his entire organization -- The Performance Enhancement Team.  Terry has developed a team of over 20 TES and BAI Regional Developers dedicated to growing the TES and BAI business concepts globally.

The Entrepreneur’s Source and Business Advisers International are consistently ranked as one of the fastest growing franchises by numerous industry publications.

Terry is a widely respected executive and is considered to be an expert in franchising.  He is frequently called upon as an expert and quoted in newspapers, magazines and business journals across North America.

TES has also sponsored “The Entrepreneur of the Year Award” for the International Franchise Association (IFA) for the past 5 years. Terry earned his ICFE, International Certified Franchise Executive Certification, from the IFA, in November of 2004.
