Biography of Frank Spano, Executive Strategist, Decor&You

 

Frank Spano joined Decor & You in 2006 to lead strategic development initiatives capable of supporting and sustaining a large national franchise organization. As senior executive and key strategist, Frank is leading corporate initiatives such as the reorganization of the training program into a collegiate-based Professional Education Program that leads to national certification. He also designed a new business model around the multi-unit concept, which has ultimately led to 90 new selling platforms for Decor & You in the ten months since it was introduced.
 
As a design professional for over 30 years, Frank founded Design Associates early in his career. This comprehensive design firm, still operational, provides architectural, interior, landscape design, business development, branding, and image management services. 
 
Design Associates is the proud parent company of the award-winning ApparenzA Design Studio, whose original furniture designs are licensed and
distributed worldwide. ApparenzA Couture creates masterful Art as
 
Furniture. Their “Lama Chair” was commissioned for exhibit at the Neuberger Museum along with works by Le Corbusier, Breuer, and Frank Gehry.

During his career, Frank has contributed to the design of over 500 commercial and over 1000 residential properties. He has had an impressive list of national brands as clients including The Trump Organization and Intercontinental Hotels. 

 
One of Frank’s proudest achievements is having worked closely with the British Publisher and Philanthropist Robert Maxwell as the designer for the Maxwell Aides Cancer Research Center; the first of its kind in America.
 
Frank is on the Board of Directors of ASFD and is a multiple award winner from the design industry.
 
Frank is also the owner of 2 art galleries, an advertising consulting firm and is a consultant in the broadcasting industry.
